Benchtop Beveling Machine Demo
Watch benchtop beveling machines perform precision plate edge preparation. Compact workshop bevelers for small to medium plates.
This demonstration covers the compact end of the plate beveling range: benchtop and feed-through machines that bring machined weld prep to workshops without the floor space or budget for a heavy traveling mill.
What the Video Shows
The workpiece comes to the machine rather than the machine traveling the workpiece. Plates are guided across the cutter head along a fence, producing a consistent machined bevel on each edge. On the feed-through design, drive rollers pull the plate through continuously at 0.6-3.3 m/min — the operator feeds parts in one side and collects weld-ready parts from the other, which is the fastest way to bevel high volumes of small and medium plates.
Machines Featured
- DZ Benchtop Series — clamp thickness 1.5-50mm, bevel angle 20°-70°, 2.2-3kW, at 80-155kg light enough to reposition anywhere in the shop. Two models: DZ-10 and DZ-20.
- Feed-Through Series (DMM-20D) — continuous pass-through processing for 2-40mm plates, bevel angle 15°-60°, 4.75kW total power.
Typical Applications
These machines fit job shops, training facilities, and production cells that bevel parts by the pallet rather than by the seam: brackets, flanges, gussets, machine bases, and small vessel components. Compared with grinding, every part leaves with the same angle and land — the consistency welders need for repeatable joint fit-up.
