Flip Type Series Selection Guide: Reading This Datasheet
The DMM-90X is the flip-type machine in the DMM family: its head assembly rotates over to mill the underside bevel on 6-80mm plate without turning the plate itself. Bevel angle spans 0°-60° with total bevel width to 70mm (20mm per single pass). It sits between a standard single-sided traveler and the dual-side DMM-1232 — one cutter head, but no crane cycle when the prep switches sides.
- Pick the 90X when double-sided preps are regular but not constant: the flip head removes plate-turning without the cost of the 1232's simultaneous twin heads.
- Angle capacity stops at 60° — programs requiring 60°+ preps need the 0-90° head of the DMM traveling series.
- Single-pass bevel width is 20mm; wide preps build up in passes, so compare cycle time against the dual-spindle 900X if width dominates your work.
- Minimum plate is 6mm, slightly above the 5mm of other DMM machines — thin-plate programs should note the difference.
