LPM Pipe Facing Series Selection Guide: Reading This Datasheet

LPM tools square and face tube ends from 3.17mm (1/8") up to 114.3mm (4.5") OD, in nine models split between DC battery and AC corded drive. The number in each model name is the nominal capacity in inches. These are facing tools, not bevelers — they produce the square, burr-free end that orbital welding and compression fittings require on thin-wall tube (0.5-5mm).

  • Match the model number to your largest tube: LPM-1.0 (25.4mm), LPM-1.5 (38.1mm), LPM-2.0/2.5 (50.8/63.5mm), LPM-3.5 (88.9mm), LPM-4.5 (114.3mm).
  • DC battery models (1.0-2.5) suit field crews and orbital-weld prep away from outlets; AC corded models add the two largest capacities and run without battery logistics.
  • Ranges overlap heavily by design — most sanitary and instrumentation shops cover their full program with one DC and one AC unit.
  • If the joint needs an actual weld bevel rather than a squared face, step over to the CAM Type or ISC bevelers.
