SOC Chuck Type Pipe Beveler Demo

See the SOC Series rapidly self-center and bevel pipe ends in seconds. 4-Jaw synchronous chuck for 50-610mm pipes.

This demonstration shows the SOC Chuck Type Series clamping and beveling pipe ends with its 4-jaw synchronous self-centering chuck — the feature that makes it roughly ten times faster to set up than conventional screw-type OD-mounted bevelers.

What the Video Shows

The operator slides the machine onto the pipe end and tightens the chuck; all four jaws move in unison, so the machine centers itself on the pipe axis automatically with no dial-in or shimming. The cutter head then feeds into the pipe end, machining a clean, concentric weld bevel in a single pass. Watch how quickly the machine releases and moves to the next pipe — this cycle time is what matters in high-volume spool fabrication.

Series Capabilities

  • Pipe OD range: 50-610mm across 11 models
  • Wall thickness: up to 30mm
  • Clamping: 4-jaw synchronous chuck, self-centering
  • Process: cold machining with no heat-affected zone

Typical Applications

SOC machines suit fabrication shops and site teams that bevel pipe ends all day: process piping, shipyard spools, water treatment lines, and structural tube work. For thin-wall tube end squaring and facing below this size range, the LPM Pipe Facing Series shown alongside covers 3.17-114mm OD tubing.
