KBM Rolling Shear Series Selection Guide: Reading This Datasheet
The KBM-16N shears its bevel instead of milling it: a driven shear wheel slices a continuous curl off the plate edge — 6-45mm plate, 25°-60° angle, bevel width to 30mm — at a fraction of the noise of a milling machine and with a single coiled offcut instead of chip spray. It is the machine for shops where noise limits, housekeeping or stainless surface rules make milling unattractive.
- Shearing suits ductile materials — carbon and stainless plate in the 6-45mm window; very hard or brittle materials still want a milling machine.
- The cold shear leaves no heat tint and embeds no foreign particles, which matters on stainless destined for pickling or hygienic service.
- One model covers the series, so selection is really a process choice: match its 30mm width and 60° angle limits against your standard preps.
- If your program needs 0°-90° angles or plate beyond 45mm, the DMM traveling machines are the milling alternative.
